Investor
Relations
How
do you, as an Investor, know what is happening to a company after you
made an investment? How do you, as an Entrepreneur, maintain open communications
with your investors after they provide you with funding?
Private
company investments, unlike public company investments, are relationship-based
transactions. The investor(s) and entrepreneur are linked to each other
in a way that is not easily severed and the bonds between them are as
much a reflection of how well they communicate, as they are a reflection
of the original terms made prior to entering into the deal.
As
the saying goes, "a good marriage takes work and open communication
to succeed."
Sandles
Capital Resources is available to both its investor and entrepreneurial
clients, post-funding, to assist with Investor Relations. Working with
post-funded companies, Sandles Capital Resources is skilled at
newsletter development as well as planning investor meetings to help the
funded company.
Often
new companies are too overwhelmed to focus on such matters and fail to
provide effective and clear investor communications. By ensuring that
its investors stay current on company developments, the Entrepreneur can
elicit assistance from its investor base, often a great source of intellectual
capital that can help grow a new company. Likewise, investors who are
kept abreast of operational and financial issues will be inclined to offer
assistance where appropriate and may be more likely to provide additional
funding, when requested.
