Services

Sandles Capital Resources (SCR) is a private, "angel oriented" capital sourcing firm which serves the interests of both accredited investors who wish to augment their deal flow in a confidential manner, and early stage entrepreneurs who are too small, too early or inappropriate for venture capital financing.

Investors

  • SCR personally interviews, and comes to understand the investment criteria of investors, who are looking to augment their deal flow in a private and confidential manner.
  • SCR undertakes marketing activities, which generate deal flow towards the firm, and then selectively screens that deal flow to ensure it meets the criteria of a "potential investment opportunity" for private investors.
  • SCR’s due diligence is conducted to determine if the venture "makes sense," if the management team has relevant experience in the area to be undertaken, if market validation has been proven, if the entrepreneur has committed financial as well as "sweat equity" to the venture, if the growth potential is attractive, if the salaries expected are reasonable, and if the valuation appears realistic.
  • Entrepreneurs that pass the initial screening process are scheduled for the Investor Analyst Program, where they meet with an actual Private Investor, appropriately matched, who is paid for his time in conducting further due diligence, and providing realistic, investor-oriented feedback to the entrepreneur. Entrepreneurs who pass the screening of the Investor Analyst Program are expected to make the recommended enhancements, and are then introduced by SCR to additional private investors as potential investment opportunities.

SCR "takes the pain" away from generating deal flow — as well as the enormous investment of time required to initially screen deals.

Entrepreneurs

  • SCR consistently cultivates difficult-to-locate, sophisticated, high net-worth individuals who are looking to invest in early-stage ventures, for the purpose of making a significant return, and having the satisfaction of helping grow a business.
  • Companies are analyzed to determine if the venture is potentially suitable for private equity investment. Factors considered include the growth potential of the business, competitive forces, the stage of development of the business and the founder’s experience.
  • Should the venture have private equity potential, entrepreneurs are scheduled for the Investor Analyst Program, where they meet with an actual Private Investor, appropriatelymatched, who is paid for his time in conducting further due diligence, and providing realistic, investor-oriented feedback to the entrepreneur. Entrepreneurs who pass the screening of the Investor Analyst Program are expected to make the recommended enhancements, and are then introduced by SCR to additional private investors as potential investment opportunities.
  • SCR educates entrepreneurs how to properly "market and sell" their venture to sophisticated, private individuals. SCR is uniquely qualified to explain this challenging process having successfully managed long-term, relationship-based selling relationships within start-up divisions of major corporations for numerous years.

SCR "takes the pain" away from searching for private investors — as well as the enormous investment of time required to understand how to properly market one’s venture to a private investor.

Investors and Entrepreneurs

  • SCR’s services for investors and entrepreneurs requires intellectual ability, business acumen and well-developed "people skills." Services are paid for in advance by both investors and entrepreneurs.
  • Investors become part of an investor membership organization and/or pay an annual fee for subscription to Angel Ventures, an upscale business angel financing publication which reports on early and developmental stage companies suitable for private equity or debt investment. In Angel Ventures, Ms. Sandles also interviews investors to report on actual angel investment activity, in an educational, case study format.
  • Fees, which are resonably priced for early stage entrepreneurs, are customized for each client, and based upon the suggested particular investor introduction service being applied.
  • Should introductions lead to actual investment by our investors, reasonable "finders or success fees" are applied, and are typically a combination of cash and equity.

SCR does not work on a "back end, success fee basis only" — so please don’t ask.

  • SCR does not demand exclusive relationships with entrepreneurs, and in fact, recommends the entrepreneur supplement our services with his own efforts, for maximum effectiveness.

**Investors are advised to conduct their own due diligence and work with professional advisors prior to making an actual investment. SCR does not offer to sell, or solicit to purchase or sell, securities.
